Marshall County Middle School boy's and girl's soccer teams swept the regional tournaments, winning both titles.
After beating Murray 2-0 for the district championship, the girls blanked all regional tournament opponents, going on to win the championship 4-0 over Murray.
The boy's team lost the district title to Calloway County and after losing three straight to the Lakers, picked up the most important win by beating them 1-0 to claim the regional championship.
Seth Strader scored the winning goal over Calloway.
DRAFFENVILLE - Blake Topper became the fourth Marshall County soccer player to sign to play for a college team and will take his talents to Hannibal-LaGrange College in Hannibal, Missouri, and will play for head coach Blake Erskine.
DRAFFENVILLE - Marshall County soccer player, Blaine Skeen, signed yesterday at Marshall County High School to play soccer for Georgetown College under Head Coach Derek Willis. Coach Willis identified Blaine through several college ID camps as well as scouting his play. A member of the soccer program since 2008, and starting all four years in high school, Blaine was part of three regional titles.
