jamiegilland1 DRAFFENVILLE - Marshall County football player Jamie Gilland penned his named to a letter of intent to play football for Campbellsville University Wednesday on National Signing Day. Gilland was a three year starter on defense at linebacker and safety and two year starter at running back for the Marshals under Head Coach Ron Barnard.

Marshall County senior football players and cheerleaders posed for a picture along with the football coaching staff at Sunday's banquet. DRAFFENVILLE - Marshall County Football celebrated the 2012 season Sunday, December 16th, in the auditorium of the Performing Arts Center.
The Spirit and Competition Cheerleading squads were introduced following special recognition from Marshall Head Coach Ron Barnard to all those that make the football season possible from Little League to Varsity.

The Marshall defense lined up against Eastern in Friday's Class 6A first round state playoff game.

LOUISVILLE - Marshall County didn't allow a single Louisville Eastern second half point but the damage had already been done with the Eagles 49 point first half performance, advancing to the round of 16 in the KHSAA Class 6A playoffs with a 49-7 win over the Marshals.

Running through the tunnel in their opening game of the season, the Marshals ended their regular season with a record of 5-5 and will play Louisville Eastern in tonight's District 1 first round of the state play-offs. DRAFFENVILLE - Marshall County will travel to Louisville today to play Eastern in the first round of the KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl state playoffs. The Marshals have lost their last two first round games in 2010, 25-6 to Fern Creek and in 2011 to Seneca 6-0.

JV Football Marshals win Regional title with offensive explosion over Christian County

Austin Spicer scored the Marshals first touchdown when he caught this pass from Cole Barnard in their Regional title win over Christian County.

DRAFFENVILLE - Marshall County's JV football squad quietly went about their business this season knocking off all of their opponents except one, and that loss was at the hands of Paducah Tilghman, capping off a 6-1 season by winning the JV Regional Championship game 55-44 over Christian County last Monday at Marshall County High School.
