DRAFFENVILLE - Taylor Meadows and Tanner Brasher were named Basketball Homecoming Queen and King Friday during the pre-game crowning before the Lady Marshals and Marshals played Graves County.
Candidates are selected by the student body and basketball team and were presented by classes before the announcement.
Freshman candidates were Abby Harris and Tucker Lovett, sophomore candidates were Cami Jones and Lane Dyke and junior candidates were Allie York and Austin Rentfrow.
Senior candidates for king and queen were Carolyn Lamm and Tanner Brasher, Allison Manley and Chase Clark, Mariah McKenty and Wesley Neal, Taylor Meadows and Beau Phillips and Jordan Stallons and Noah Steele.
Crowning Meadows and Brasher were last year's Homecoming Queen Tory Fehrenbacher and she was escorted by Andy Gibson, standing in for last year's Homecoming King Peter Northcutt.
Following the coronation, the Lady Marshals and Marshals beat arch-rival Graves County with the boy's game going into an exciting overtime. The student body enjoyed a Homecoming Dance immediately following the game in the Commons Area of the high school.
