Benton man involved in Graves County fatal collision Monday evening

altMAYFIELD  – Kentucky State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatality collision that occurred Monday afternoon involving a Benton man.
According to police reports, the collision occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of KY 464 and KY 121 bypass in Mayfield.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Anna Davis, 83, of Mayfield, was operating a 2000 Plymouth traveling east on KY 464 approaching the intersection at the 121 bypass.
Bradley D. Bedwell, 35, of Benton, was operating a 2005 International tractor-trailer traveling southbound on the bypass.

Davis pulled out into the path of Bedwell who was unable to stop, striking Davis' vehicle in the driver’s door. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene by the Graves County Coroner.
Davis was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the collision. Sergeant Joey Adams is continuing the investigation. Sergeant Adams was assisted on the scene by the Graves County Coroner’s Office, Mayfield EMS, Mayfield Police Department, Mayfield Fire Department, Graves County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement section.
