BENTON - After much anticipation and a few months of construction, the new Puckett’s Jewelry building is open, featuring Kennedy’s Fan Shop and Café Chas – and for those who never entered the building before, one look at the new facility and you’d never guess it used to be a bank.
Puckett’s new storefront features solid wood floors, canned lighting, a stone entryway and on the inside - an expanded line of customer favorites including Pandora and new additions such as the Vera Bradley gallery, as well as a new bridal and baby registry.
Just down the way and adjoining Puckett’s, Kennedy’s Fan Shop is filled with most every item a Kentucky, MSU or Marshals sports fan could wish for – just in time for this holiday season.
Wireless internet is also available in the commons area of the building for those who might want to stop in at the café and enjoy a gourmet cup of coffee or grab lunch, with many menu offerings carried over from Main Street Java’s customer's favorites.
Restaurant owner Rick Neiber said on Friday that while he was hopeful his café would be open by the end of the last week, he was awaiting final health department inspections. Nieber said he expects to be open for business tomorrow morning.
