altDRAFFENVILLE - Are you ready to get your Wobble Gobble on before enjoying all of your Thanksgiving favorites?
Then head out to Mike Miller Park on Saturday and lace up your running shoes for the Wobble Gobble For a Cure 5k or 1-mile fun run, beginning at 9 a.m.
If you’re not registered yet, “no problem” say organizers Mindy Green and Christy Smith, registration is available on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. for a cost of $30 per person, with all proceeds going to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

“We are running the Memphis half marathon and marathon on Dec. 1st and have agreed to be ‘Heroes,’ meaning we agree to raise at least $500 each for that race,” Green said.
“This hospital is dear to us because it helps so many children from this community and one young man that we know well, Carson Chapman, from Murray - he is the same age as our sons and they are all good friends. They are our reason to run!”
Runners coming out for the cause on Saturday will have the opportunity to compete in several different categories - overall male and female, and male and female top runners in the 12 and under age group, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 plus.
All participants will receive a Wobble Gobble For a Cure T-shirt. For more information, or to donate if you can’t make it out to the event, please contact Green at 703-3035 or Smith at 703-3000.
