DRAFFENVILLE - It’s time once again for the Marshall County Exceptional Center’s 'Annual Motor City Mayhem' annual fundraising event.
Everyone is invited to come out for a thrilling ride during the “Escape the Zombie Apocalypse” challenge scheduled for this Saturday, Nov. 3, at Mike Miller Park in Draffenville.
Registration starts at 8 a.m., with the event beginning at 10 a.m.
There are three main events, one being the Road Rally, consisting of a two-person team - a driver and navigator.
The Road Rally is held over public roads within the legal speed limit. The challenge is to drive on time, arriving at points along the route neither early nor late. It is not intended to be a race. The entry fee is just $25.
Secondly, there is the Auto-Cross which is also a $25 entry fee, (additional runs available for a small fee) consisting of a timed obstacle course based on speed, only one car participates at a time.
Finally, participants can opt to enjoy a Power-Wheels Race for a $5 entry fee.
Bring the kids out to escape the zombies! Children will be able to participate in a timed lap by showcasing their driving skills on a Power-Wheels vehicle (provided by the participant).
Winners of each event will receive a trophy. Call 270-527-1327 for more details or check out the Marshall County Exceptional Center on Facebook.
