altBREWERS - A Marshall County teen was killed tonight in a tragic accident on Wadesboro Road North in Marshall County.
Police reports indicate 19 year-old Logan G. McNeely, of Benton, was driving his 1998 red Mitsubishi Eclipse northbound on Wadesboro Road along with his front seat passenger, Robert B Davis, also 19 and from Benton. Nineteen year-old Zackery R. Smalley was a passenger in the back seat.
While McNeely was driving, Smalley attempted to climb out the sunroof of the vehicle. Both other passengers state they tried to talk Smalley into not climbing out, but say he continued to do so.

At some point, McNeely's vision was obscured by Smalley's leg. McNeely swerved causing Smalley to fall from the vehicle into the roadway. Smalley was unresponsive and witnesses tried to revive him on scene along with emergency medical personnel, but were unsuccessful.
The investigation is ongoing by Sheriff's Office collision reconstructionist. The Sheriff's office was assisted by the Kentucky State Police, ENO and Harvey Brewers volunteer fire departments along with Marshall County EMS and the Marshall County Coroner's Office.
