BENTON-You can almost smell it in the air - Marshall County's annual Tater Day celebration is headed to town. From flea markets to carnival rides, the parade, and of course, all the "good eats," the 167th Annual Tater Day weekend is an event that residents of Marshall and surrounding counties look forward to each year. If history repeats itself, you're likely to come across a corn dog, funnel cake or flea market treasure mid-week with official festivities kicking off Friday evening. Along with the schedule of featured events posted below, Casey's Amusement rides will be open daily at HH Lovett Park.
Friday, April 2
Tony Logue Band at BBQ Kook- off 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Poplar Street
Saturday, April 3
The Tater Trot Fitness Walk & Run 5K takes off at 9 a.m. with registration and the Run/Walk beginning at 9:40 a.m. in the CFSB Parking lot located at 1012 Main Street. Contact Chris Kerrick at 527-1453 for registration information.
5 p.m. H.H. Lovett Park Grandstand, Admission $10 (6 & under free) Contact Shane Watkins 270-703-8689.
