Recovery teams report body of one victim recovered today below Kentucky Dam

recoveryUPDATE: The Marshall County Coroner's Office has confirmed the identity of the victim recovered Saturday as that of 65 year-old James May, of Graves County. James' brother, 63 year-old Gene May is still missing. The third brother also involved in the incident, Roy May was rescued the day of the incident, March 6, a short time after their boat overturned near Kentucky Dam on the Tennessee River side. He was treated and released from the hospital. Crews began recovery efforts again this morning at 7 a.m.

GILBERTSVILLE - Marshall County Rescue Squad Chief Curt Curtner reports the body of one of the two missing boaters has been recovered. Curtner said the recovery took place around noon today, with fisherman below the dam discovering the victim.
Crews continue in their recovery mission searching for the other missing boater. Curtner said the victim’s identification is being withheld pending official identification by the county coroner and notification to family.
Recovery temas from Marshall and McCracken Counties remain on the waterway today despite inclement weather and are set to return tomorrow.
