DRAFFENVILLE- The Donut Hole has now re-opened and taken on a new location as well as a new name, Parcell’s Bakery. The donut shop has moved from its Main Street location in Benton to the Draffenville shopping plaza. Having a coffee shop atmosphere, the smell of sweet treats and sounds of holiday music greet you as you walk in the bakery. With baked goods including pies, cakes, cookies, ice-cream, muffins, scones and assorted donuts, fritters and éclairs, the bakery has a little something for everyone. Owner Daniel Slayden says while the doors are open and the goodies are being served up, he’s not finished just yet. “We are still moving in equipment and are not completely set up,” he said.” But keeping to his promise when he first bought the business, there were just a couple days of closure during the transition.
The bakery, co-located with Parcell’s Deli & Grille and The Marketplace gift shop, will be open the same hours as the grille, Monday through Saturday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., however, the bakery will also be open special hours on Sunday morning from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Free w-fi is available at both the bakery and the grille.
