Calvert City Pickleball players win medals in Franklin, Tenn. tournament

Calvert City Pickleball members brought home a total of 21 medals from their play in the Music City Pickleball Summer Classic in Franklin, Tenn.

Calvert City players went to Franklin, Tenn. to participate in the Music City Pickleball Summer Classic July 16-18. With 321 entries over three days, 16 players brought home 21 medals, 8 Gold, 10 Silver and 3 Bronze medals.

This was a sanctioned tournament and one of the larger tournaments the group has competed in. It was separated by ratings and age brackets. In some cases, this allowed Calvert City players to not have to compete against each other; therefore, enabling more trophies. If a doubles team had a younger player and the other was older the team had to compete in the younger bracket.

Calvert City Pickleball is made up of players from Marshall County, McCracken County, Calloway County, Livingston County, Lyon County, Graves County, Christian County and Caldwell County.
