Steven Lee Baird, 66, of Benton, KY passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Baptist Health Paducah
Steven was born in Crittenden County, KY on Monday, October 26, 1953 to the late Charles Wesley Baird and Geneva Lee Vailes Baird. He worked as a carpenter for the Union #357. Steven was the fire chief for the Harvey Brewers Fire Department and a member of the Gilbertsville Masonic Lodge #835. He loved cooking for his family, especially breakfast. He also enjoyed spending his free time camping and fishing. He was a handyman who could fix anything, and will be remembered as someone who was liked by all, would do anything for anyone, and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Sue Frink Baird; one son, Anthony Baird and wife Sarah of Benton; four daughters, Lori King and husband Thomas of Murray, Shawna Powless and husband Joel of Flora, IL, Denea Boyle and husband Ricky of Mooresville, NC, and Courtney Beard of Macon, GA; two brothers, Wesley Lynn Baird of Grand Rivers, and John Charles Baird of Augusta, GA; nine grandchildren, Benjamin Nelson, William Kannon Bruce, Natalie Boyle, Bobby Powless, Jenny Powless, Luke Powless, Olivia Baird, Nova Lee Baird, and Levi Beard.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Myrick; and his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15 , 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home.
