The 2020 Western Kentucky Polar Plunge is coming up this Saturday, Mar. 7 at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park. It’s not too late to join in the fun and you can find out how you can participate and raise money for the Special Olympics by visiting westernkyplunge.com.
Ways to participate include the Plunge, 5K, Triple Crown Challenge, or make a donation. The weather is looking nice on Saturday but the waters will still be chilly. Organizers want plunger to remember to bring a warm robe or towel, wear shoes and pack a bag with a change of clothes.
“The Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Kentucky challenges you to get the “Chill of a Lifetime” in support of the 10,200 children and adults with intellectual disabilities who participate in year-round sports and health programming provided by Special Olympics Kentucky.”
Early check-in on Friday, Mar. 6 at the Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park Conference Center from 4-6 pm.
