MURRAY, KY – Khristopher Rogers and Katelyn Dillon of Murray started off 2020 as the proud new parents of their 8 pound, 7 ounce, baby boy, Jaxon Wayne Rogers who was 21.5 inches long. She was scheduled for induction on January 5 but she had just celebrated the new year and was laying down when her water broke about 12:32 am. She gathered her things, and she and her fiancé, Khristopher, headed to the hospital.

After around 9 hours of labor they welcomed baby boy Jaxon at 10:19 am on January 1st with Dr. Dawn N. Deeter, OB/GYN, of Women’s Health of Murray delivering.

This was their families third baby but their first boy. Baby Jaxon has two sisters, Gracelynn, three years old, and Hazel who is one.

“Having the first baby of the year was awesome, I didn’t know it was such a big thing,” said Katelyn.
“It is a miracle every time you have a baby but it’s always a special excitement to have the New Year’s baby,” said Dr. Deeter.

The couple received various gifts from MCCH and the Ledger of Times for being the first baby of the New Year as well as Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

Katelyn and her family look forward to starting 2020 welcoming Jaxon to the world.
