KY 849/Boaz Road in the Boaz community of Graves County is closed at mile point 10.87 for RR crossing upgrades starting today

PADUCAH, Ky. (October 14, 2019) — As a reminder, a contractor for P&L Railroad has closed a section KY 849/Boaz Road in the Boaz community of Graves County at mile point 10.87.

KY 849/Boaz Road is closed at mile point 10.87 to allow railroad crossing upgrades.  This closure is along KY 849/Boaz Road between McNeil Road and KY 994/McCracken County Road.  The closure is 3.2 miles east of the KY 849 intersection with U.S. 45.

KY 849/Boaz Road closed at this site around 8 a.m., CDT, today.  This closure for rail crossing upgrades is expected to be in place through Friday, October 18.

There will be a marked detour.

The contractor, P&L Railroad, and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will attempt to provide timely updates as work progresses at this location.
