KY 996/Metropolis Lake Road will be closed near the 5 mile marker starting Monday, October 7, to allow rail crossing upgrades. This closure along KY 996/Metropolis Lake Road is just south of the Heath community and the KY 725/Woodville Rd intersection.
KY 996/Metropolis Lake Road is expected to close at this site around 7 a.m., CDT, on Monday, October 7. This closure for rail crossing upgrades is expected to be in place for about five days.
There will be a marked detour.
The contractor, P&L Railroad, and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will attempt to provide timely updates as work progresses at this location.
P&L Railroad also plans rail crossing upgrades at the following location in coming weeks:
KY 849/Boaz Road in the Boaz community of Graves County to close at mile point 10.87 starting about October 14
