Mrs. Mary Evelyn Tucker, age 87, of Kirksey, Kentucky died on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Tucker was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on March 10, 1932 to the late Newell Doores and Esther (McCuiston) Doores. She was a retired Beautician and attended the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Doores and Edwin Doores.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas G. Tucker of Kirksey, Kentucky, whom she married on July 2, 1950 at the Mt. Hebron Methodist Church; two daughters, Laurie Smith and husband Mike of Jackson, Tennessee and Sabrina Karraker and husband Ray of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Dr. Charles Tucker and wife Marsha of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Anna Williams and husband Mark of Roy, Utah; three grandchildren, Koie Smith, Barkley Tucker, and Mackensie Patrick; as well as two great-grandchildren ,Colton Karraker, and Paislee Patrick.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Tucker Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
