Mrs. Mary “Elizabeth” Henson, age 102, went to be with our Heavenly Father Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Calvert City Convalescent Center. She was a homemaker and caregiver.
Born Saturday, September 23, 1916 in Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Lemuil and Bidie (Bolen) Henson of Benton, KY.
Surviving are her son, Wayne (Judy) Henson of Benton, KY, grandson whom she raised as her son, Kenny (Dee Dee) Henson of Benton, KY, grandchildren, Belinda Henson Blakney of Benton, KY, and Cynthia (Arnold) Sanchez of West Jordan, Utah, and Terry (Tami) King of TN, great-grandchildren, Matthew Henson, Meagan (Clinton) O’Bryan of Benton, KY, Heather (Chris) Marshall, Lynette (John) Dukes of Benton, KY, Kendall Blakney of Benton, KY and Crystal (Seth) Neuffer of Los Angeles, CA, and Evan King of TN. Also surviving are great great-grandchildren, Emily, Landon, and Levi Henson, Hunter and Bristol O’Bryan, Parker and Dawson Estes, Chloee Marshall, Michael and John Dukes, and Nathan, Kolby, and Kelsie Blakney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louie Henson, infant daughter, Linda Fay, brother, Edgar Henson, and great-grandson, Jarrod Mills of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lance King of TN.
She was loved by so many and was Mamaw to everyone she knew. She will forever be loved.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 in the Price Cemetery, Benton, KY, with Bro. Chris Young officiating.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY.
