Bill Bedwell

Mr. William “Bill” Talbert Bedwell, age 75 of the Wadesboro community died on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at his home. Born Wednesday, January 13, 1943, he was a carpenter with the Carpenter’s Local Union #357 and was an avid UK basketball fan. He was a graduate of South Marshall High School and a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church where he served as the song leader. He enjoyed working in his shop making many useful things for his family and friends. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam as a Military Police Officer and was based in Fort Knox.

Mr. Bedwell is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth (Lucas) Bedwell of Wadesboro, KY; son, John Bedwell and his wife Christi of Wadesboro, KY; daughters, Kathy Jones husband Bill of Benton, KY and Tracy Bedwell of Wadesboro, KY; five grandchildren, Lucas, Corrin and Zane Bedwell and Brice and Blake Jones; brother, Jerry Bedwell of Benton, KY, sisters, Myra Morris of Possum Trot, KY, Ann Mobley of Benton, KY and Dottie Ryba of Benton, KY.

Mr. Bedwell was preceded in death by three sisters, Linda Hawks, Nancy Ross and Lottie Lassisiter. He was the son of the late Toscoe and Lodell (Key) Bedwell.

A Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home with Rev. John Bedwell and Rev. George T. Culp officiating. Burial will follow in Wadesboro Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home.
