Marshall 2 team wins third straight Special Olympics State Tournament Championship

Congratulations to the Marshall 1 and 2 Special Olympic teams on a very successful state tournament in Louisville this past weekend. The Marshall 2 team beat Henderson County 27-14 to win the 1A Green State Championship, making this their third straight state title. According to Coach Jonny Byrd, he’s not sure if a team has ever won three straight state titles. To get to the title game Sunday, the team defeated the Louisville Wizards 23-13.
