Video below of the press conference conducted earlier today concerning the shooting at Marshall County High School conducted by Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin, joined by federal, state and local authorities. The investigation is an on-going criminal investigation over a large crime scene area.
Nineteen individuals are being treated for injuries, 14 of which were gun shot wounds, five non-gun shot wounds. Two have passed away, one at the scene, a 15 year old female student and one at a trama center, a 15 year old male student. The injured were taken to multiple hospitals and six were flown to the nearest Level I trama center.
The shooter is in custody, a 15 year old male, that was apprehended at the scene and will charged with murder and attempted murder.
The incident began at 7:57 am. At 7:59 am the first 9-11 call was received.
