Community Financial Services Inc. and Community Financial Services Bank Inc. boards of directors honored David Puckett for his service to the industry by approving a resolution of appreciation in his honor.
Puckett retired from the boards Nov. 14 and was named director emeritus. He began his service April 9, 1996 and served as director for Calvert Bank, Community Financial Services Inc. – successor of Benton Bancorp Inc. – and Community Financial Services Bank Inc.
According to the resolution, Puckett shared in decisions that ultimately resulted in the merger of Calvert Bank, the renovation of the Draffenville center, the construction of the Fifth Street CFSB banking center and executive offices, as well as the McCracken County banking center, Calloway County banking center and the corporate headquarters in Benton.
Puckett also played a role in increasing the company’s stock value, assets and customer base within Marshall and the surrounding counties.
