Mrs. Carolyn Bell, age 64 of Symsonia, KY died on Monday, November 28, 2016, at her home. She was a member of Symsonia Methodist Church and owned and operated Carolyn's Country Curls in Symsonia for 30 years. Born Tuesday, September 9, 1952 in McCracken Co., KY, she was the daughter of William Thomasson and Deltrice (Johnson) Thomasson. Surviving are her husband, Marvin Bell of Symsonia, KY. They were married for 46 years, and together for 50 years. Also surviving are her mother, Deltrice (Johnson) Thomasson of Symsonia, KY, daughters, Mona Mathis of Symsonia, KY and Mindy Spraggs, husband Darren of Symsonia, KY, sister, Brenda Thomasson of Symsonia, KY, mother-in-law, Genevieve Bell, grandchildren, Jaycey and Kensey Spraggs, and Toby, her faithful pet of 15 years. She was preceded in death by her father, William Thomasson, grandson, Keeton Mathis, and father-in-law, J.C. Bell. A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Clarks River Cemetery, Symsonia, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
