Maurice L. Park, age 75 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at his home. He was a retired truck driver for A & H Truck Line and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Born Sunday, December 1, 1940 in Marshall County, KY, he was the son of the late Estil Park and the late Hazel (Reed) Park. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn (Cope) Park of Benton, KY, son, Greg Park of Benton, KY, daughter, Teresa Park of Benton, KY, brother, Gary Park of Benton, KY, sister, Cheryl Sutherland of Benton, KY, and grandchildren, Storm Park of Benton, KY, and Braden Black of Benton, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Drake Park. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Mark Thweatt officiating. Interment will follow in Lyles Cemetery, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m .and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home.
