Mr. Ricky D. "Ricky Bobby" Smith, age 38 of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Born Monday, December 19, 1977, he was an Ironworker for the Ironworkers Local 782 in Paducah, KY. He was an avid fan of baseball and basketball, with his favorite teams being the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Celtics, and the University of Kentucky. Surviving are his wife, Tara (Byers) Smith of Benton, KY, sons, Ryker Smith, Cody Miller and Cayson Miller all of Benton, KY, daughter, Ryleigh Bliss of Benton, KY, mother Vicky (Hall) Smith and her husband Ray of Gilbertsville, KY, brother, Rob Smith of Grand Rivers, KY, sister, Tera Smith of Benton, KY, niece, Cori Hack of Benton, KY, and nephew, Colton Smith of Grand Rivers, KY. He was preceded in death by his father, Ricky N. Smith. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025, Rev. Jack Kee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home.
