DANIEL JOHNSON WALKER, 84, of Calvert City, KY, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Walker retired from the Asphalt Paving Operations in Lake City, where he worked for 41 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War Conflict. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Grand Rivers Baptist Church. He was a devoted University of Kentucky Basketball Fan.
He is survived by his two daughters, Debbie Walker Druzbick and husband John of Brooksville, FL and Pamela Walker Renard and husband Victor of Kennewick, WA; four granddaughters, Danielle Lettieri, Megan Olmstead, Victoria Renard and Nicole Renard, and three great grandchildren, Blakely Olmstead, Margot Lettieri and Paisley Olmstead.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice M. Bowling Walker, his daughter, Margaret Louise Walker, one brother, Leslie Walker and two sisters, Monette Wetzel and Talitha Watson. His parents were, Johnson Walker and Sarah Mullen Walker.
Memorial celebration services will be held at 11:30AM Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Bro. Mark Gill will officiate. Friends may call after 10:00AM Saturday, May21, 2016 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
